Our connector uses Shopify product webhooks to keep your Odoo product data in sync. Here’s how it works.
Product creation
When you create a product in Shopify, this product will be automatically created* in Odoo.
* By default, new Shopify products will only be added to your connector’s mapping table. To automatically create them as Odoo products, enable the “Auto-Create Missing Products” checkbox:
Product updates
When you change a product in Shopify, the corresponding Odoo product updates automatically (for fields you have mapped). You control exactly which Odoo fields get updated by adjusting your mapping settings. Pay special attention to the “Receive field on import” option.
Product deletion
When you remove a product in Shopify, it will trigger an external records update in Odoo to make sure that they are in actual state and reflect the Shopify status.
Odoo product itself will not be deleted, preserving your internal records. Only external product records will be modified or removed.
Configuration
Go to your connector settings and click on “Create Webhooks” button to create webhooks in Shopify:
