When importing taxes in Shopify, you may notice some background loading, but, after a while, the taxes still are not imported. This behavior is related to how taxes import is handled via the API. Shopify’s API does not provide a separate endpoint specifically for importing taxes; instead, taxes are imported from orders.
To address this, navigate to the E-Commerce Integration Settings and deactivate the Integration:
At the bottom, increase (for example to 2000) the batch_size setting, which determines the number of orders processed in a single batch.
After that please activate the Integration and try to run “Import Taxes“ once again.
