When installing the VentorTech Direct Print Client for Odoo, some anti-virus programs may display a warning or flag the installer as potentially unsafe.
The Direct Print Client is based on technology provided by our partners at PrintNode and is safe to use. In some cases, anti-virus software may incorrectly detect the application as a threat. This is known as a false positive.
To reduce these warnings, our partners at PrintNode are:
Digitally signing all application files
Working with anti-virus vendors to whitelist the software
Updating or rewriting components that may trigger alerts
In some cases, the warning may still appear. If this happens, please add the Direct Print Client to the whitelist (allowed applications) in your anti-virus software and then continue with the installation.
For additional security, always download the installer from our official Direct Print Downloads page, or from the PrintNode website.
