Product synchronization works in two directions: updates from Odoo to your e-commerce store, and updates from your e-commerce store back to Odoo. Here’s the breakdown.
Updates from Odoo to your e-commerce store
Enable automation:
Go to the “Automation Jobs” tab and ensure “Enable Product Template Export Job” is checked.
Triggering updates (Optional):
Product Sync Watch Fields: Verify that this field includes all Odoo fields whose changes should trigger an export to your store:
Trackable Fields: (If fine-tuning is needed) Check the “Trackable Fields” in your mappings (Configuration → All Product Fields, visible in debug mode):
Important: Enabling the “Product Template Export Job” is often enough for automatic updates. Your mappings likely include the necessary fields.
Updates from your e-commerce store to Odoo:
Connector specifics: the process varies depending on your e-commerce platform:
Shopify: Automatic import (How can I automatically update Odoo products when they change in Shopify? ) or manual import.
Magento 2, WooCommerce, PrestaShop: Currently only manual import is supported.
