In some cases, when using VentorTech Direct Print PRO, the Settings tab may appear empty, disabled, or inaccessible. As a result, users cannot configure the module.
Possible Causes
This issue usually occurs due to one of the following reasons:
The module was incorrectly migrated or updated
Some technical changes were made manually
The module views were accidentally deactivated
In most cases, the root cause is that the Direct Print settings views have been set to inactive.
How to Fix the Issue
Option 1: Reactivate Views (Recommended)
Enable Developer Mode (Debug Mode) in Odoo
Go to Settings → Technical → User Interface → Views
Apply the filter: Inactive
Search for views related to PrintNode / Direct Print
Open the relevant view and activate it
After that, the Direct Print Settings tab should become visible and work correctly.
Option 2: Reinstall the Module (Not Recommended)
You can try reinstalling the Direct Print module. This will recreate all views automatically.
Warning:
Reinstalling the module may remove your current configuration, including:
API key
Printer settings
Other module configurations
You may need to set everything up again.
Check User Access Rights
In some cases, the issue may be related to user permissions.
Make sure that the user:
Has sufficient access rights
Is allowed to access Settings in Odoo
Otherwise, the Settings tab may not be visible at all.
