Yes, it is possible to sync selected data, but the way it works depends on what you want to synchronize. Products offer the most flexibility, while orders and customers are more limited and generally work in one direction only.
Selective Synchronization: What’s Supported?
✅ Products
You can import or export individual products
You can choose which stores a product is synced with
You can exclude a product or even just its stock from synchronization
You can control which product fields are synced
⚠️ Orders and Customers
Orders and customers generally sync in one direction (E-commerce => Odoo)
You can import a single order or customer by ID
Exporting individual orders or contacts is not supported by the connectors
For a deeper explanation of synchronization directions and logic, refer to this article:
How to Import a Single Product, Order, or Customer by ID
If you need to import only specific products, orders, or customers instead of syncing everything, you can do this using the Import Wizard. This method is especially useful when you already know the external ID of the record in your e-commerce store.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open the E-Commerce Integrations module in your Odoo.
Go to Stores (or Integrations) and select the connected store you want to import data from.
Open the Data Import tab.
Launch the Open Import Wizard and choose Update Import (After Initial Setup).
In Step 2: Configure Import, select the required Entity to Import:
Products
Orders
Customers
In the External IDs field, enter the external ID (or multiple IDs, comma- or line-separated) of the record(s) you want to import.
Leave this field empty if you want to import all records of the selected type.
Click Import Records to start the import process.
What Happens After Import
If there are no conflicts:
Products will appear in Mappings → Products
Customers will appear in Mappings → Contacts
Orders will appear in External Orders
How to Export a Single Product from Odoo
Exporting orders and contacts is not supported — this applies only to products.
Step 1: Choose Stores for Export
If multiple stores are connected to your Odoo:
Open the product page
Go to the E-Commerce Integration tab
Select the store(s) where the product should be exported
For products with variants, this configuration is available on the variant page.
Optional Settings
On the same screen, you can:
Exclude the product from synchronization
Exclude only stock from synchronization
Step 2: Export the Product
Open the product in Odoo
Click Actions (gear icon in the top-left corner)
Select Export to Stores
This creates a background job that exports the product. Once completed, the product in your e-commerce system will be updated with data from Odoo.
Controlling Which Product Fields Are Synced
You’re not limited to syncing everything.
You can define exactly which product fields are sent to your e-commerce store by configuring Field Synchronization (or Product Fields Mapping)
This allows fine-grained control over product data and helps avoid overwriting fields you want to manage manually.
