When importing orders from an e-commerce store, connector looks for Company data specified in order data and typically creates both company and individual (person) contacts based on the order data.
For example for such order:
Contacts will be created with this structure(Company → Individual):
and Odoo order will be linked to an Individual Customer from created Company:
However, this flow can be changed
Parameter: Use Company as Contact When Available
When you enable Use Company as Contact When Available:
the behavior changes:
The connector still detects and creates the Company contact
Individual contact creation is skipped
The order is assigned directly to the Company
Important
We strongly recommend setting the “Use Company as Contact When Available” parameter once and avoiding frequent changes, as modifying it repeatedly may result in duplicate contacts.
