How do I synchronize custom fields between Magento 2 and Odoo?

Our connector enables custom field synchronization between Magento 2 and Odoo. Here’s how to set it up using “Unit of Measure” as an example:

Prerequisites:

• The custom field (“Unit of Measure” in this case) must exist in both Odoo and Magento 2.

Step 1: Create a New Mapping

1. Go to Configuration → All Product Fields.

2. Create a new mapping with these important details:

   • Field Name in API: Begin this value with custom_attributes.. This is required for Magento 2 custom fields.

   • Value Converter: Select the appropriate converter. For selection fields (like “Unit of Measure”), choose “Select Field”.

Step 2: Add the Mapping to Your Connection

1. Navigate to Configuration → Product Fields Mapping

2. Add a new line using the mapping you created in Step 1.

3. Important: If the custom field is a selection field in Magento 2, activate only import. Exporting selection fields is not currently supported.
