Partner Program FAQ

Everything about how the our partner program works. If your question isn't here, write to us.

Joining

Any company that delivers Odoo to its own clients — consultancies, integrators, agencies and freelance developers. If you’re looking for better pricing for your own company rather than for clients, write to us instead; that’s a different conversation.

No. There is no joining fee and no ongoing fee.

Fill in the form on the Apply page. It takes about three minutes.

Usually about two business days. We read every application ourselves and reply either way.

We tell you why. You are welcome to apply again later — for example once you have completed your first Odoo projects.

You get an email with your referral code, and your Partner Portal is ready at My Account → Partnership. There is nothing else to set up.

Earning commission (Refer)

20% of what your client pays, before VAT. The same 20% applies to the first purchase and to every renewal.

You always earn 20% of what your client actually pays. Renewals are billed at our loyalty pricing, which goes down in the second and third year — so your 20% follows that amount down as well.

Your client types your referral code into the Partner referral code field at checkout. That is the only step on their side.

No. We credit sales by code only. It keeps attribution clear and puts no tracking cookies in your clients’ browsers.

Yes, if the order is less than 180 days old. Write to us with the order number or the client’s email and we will attach it to your account. Older orders we cannot attach.

Please note that current partner program started on 3 August 2026. Orders placed before that date follow the previous partnership terms, we won’t apply the new rules retroactively.

No. The current partner program started on 3 August 2026. Orders placed before that date follow the previous partnership terms, where commission applied only to Ecosystem subscription payments and you had to send us the order details yourself. We cannot apply the new rules retroactively.

No. Commission starts from the day your application is approved. We can’t credit purchases made before that, even if your clients came to us on your recommendation.

If you have a case that feels unfair, write to us — but as a rule, your approval date is the start date.

Almost all. These do not: Partner Packs, Ventor PRO, and our services (installation, configuration, customizations to our products). Orders you place for yourself do not earn commission either — we compare the billing email with your partner account.

A commission stays pending for 30 days after your client pays. This window covers refunds and cancellations. After that it becomes available, and once your available balance reaches €300 you send us an invoice. We pay within 30 days of receiving it.

Because you are an independent business and we are paying for a service. It also means the paperwork matches on both sides.

We look at each case individually. The commission may be reversed in full, partly adjusted, or left as it is. Nothing is reversed automatically.

If a balance sits uninvoiced for 36 months it is forfeited. We email you a warning 90 days before that happens, so it should never be a surprise.

Discount codes

Sometimes a client responds better to a discount than you do to a commission. You can generate a code that gives your client 20% off their purchase.

You earn no commission on a purchase made with your own discount code. You are passing the value to your client instead of keeping it.

Generate one in your Partner Portal. Each code gives 20% off, works once, for one client, on one purchase, and expires after 30 days if unused. You can hold up to 10 active codes at a time. Codes cannot be combined with other promotions and do not apply to Partner Packs.

No. Codes are for your clients.

Packs (Resell)

A fixed number of client slots for one product, at a volume discount. You register your own clients into those slots, set your own price, and invoice them yourself. Prices are on the Partner Packs page.

The four e-commerce connectors (Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento 2), the QuickBooks Online Connector and Direct Print PRO. Other products are available through Refer. If you need a Pack for something else, ask us.

We link each Pack to a partner account by hand, normally within one business day. You will see it in your Partner Portal once it is ready.

No. There is no renewal, no yearly fee and no expiry date.

One client, on one Odoo version. If that client later upgrades to a newer Odoo version, that is a new deployment and needs another slot — the same as any customer buying for a new Odoo version.

No. A used slot stays used. If something exceptional happened — a typo in the domain, a client who never went live — write to us and we will look at it.

Two reasons. It gives your client a Support ID, which is how they reach us directly — without it we cannot help them. And it is how we confirm the product is being used within the slots you bought. When you contact us about a client, quote their Support ID or company name so we can find them.

Everything on the delivery side. You download the product files from your Partner Portal and install them, and you do the same for updates — we do not deliver anything to your client directly.

No. A Direct Print Pack covers the module only, including the POS and Manufacturing add-ons. Cloud printing is a separate subscription bought directly from us, and it is not included in any Pack — neither for you, nor for your clients.

No. A Pack is already discounted — the discount is your margin, and you keep whatever you charge your client on top.

Support

On a Pack, you do first — you own the relationship. Your client can also contact us directly using their Support ID during their support period. On a referral, your client bought from us, so we support them directly.

Tell us which client the request is about — the Support ID, or just the company name. If a client prefers not to be named, their Odoo instance URL or the order number works too.

It’s not bureaucracy: it’s how we check that the deployment we’re helping with is covered, and it’s usually the fastest way for us to find the right accesses and understand the context. If you work with us often, you’ll notice we don’t always ask — but it’s the rule we go back to when something isn’t clear.

12 months from the day you register the client. This is the same period a customer gets when they buy the product from us directly.

The product keeps working — nothing is switched off. But your client is no longer entitled to our support, and we may decline a request. If they want to keep it, they can buy a Support Package from our store (1, 2 or 3 years). The client buys it for themselves, the same way any of our customers does.

Yes. Your access to us as a partner is not limited by your clients’ support periods.

We will still help you work out where it is, rather than closing the ticket.

Your account

My Account → Partnership on our store. Your referral code, your earnings, your discount codes, your Packs and your client registrations are all there.

No, it is fixed when your account is approved, and it stays the same even if your membership is paused and later resumed.

Yes, but it’s rare and we always tell you why. The usual reasons are: sharing our products outside the slots you’ve bought, using the referral code in ways it isn’t meant for (spam, or entering it on your own orders), presenting yourself as VentorTech, or providing false information when applying. Full detail is in the Partnership Terms.

If your membership is paused, your unused discount codes are expired. Codes already used by clients are not affected, and neither are your Packs or your clients’ registrations — your clients keep working normally.

Nothing changes for them. Their registrations stay valid, a Pack you paid for is not taken back, and commissions you have already earned remain yours to invoice.

Email us and we will update them.

The numbers on this page are the current values and may change. The Partnership Terms are the binding version.
