If your Odoo server is not exposed to the internet (for example, running in a restricted or isolated network), the VentorTech ZPL Label Designer cannot work fully offline.
The module requires an internet connection because label design and generation rely on an external service hosted by VentorTech. As a result, your Odoo server must be able to communicate with this service during label creation.
Workaround for Restricted Environments
If your server is not publicly accessible, you can use a temporary secure tunnel to allow communication during label setup.
One possible approach is to use a tool like ngrok:
Create a temporary public URL that points to your local Odoo server
Use this connection to design and generate your labels
Once labels are created, they can be used on your local server without continuous internet access
After completing the setup, you can disable the external access.
⚠️ Important limitation:
This approach is intended for one-time label generation only. While you can continue using the generated labels locally, you cannot update or regenerate them without re-establishing the connection.
