In recent versions of VentorTech Direct Print, you may notice an exclamation mark badge displayed on the Direct Print printer icon in the Odoo dashboard.
This notification does not necessarily indicate a problem with printing or module configuration.
The exclamation mark may appear when:

A new module version is available.

An optional review campaign notification is active.
If your printing works correctly, the notification can usually be safely ignored.
If a new version is available, we recommend updating to benefit from the latest features, improvements, and fixes. Detailed instructions on how to update the module are available in the article below:

How to Disable the Notification
The notification can be disabled in the Direct Print settings.
To do this:

Enable Developer Mode (Debug Mode) in Odoo

Open Direct Print → Settings

Enable the “Disable Advertising” checkbox

Save the settings
After that, the notification badge (exclamation mark) will disappear from the Direct Print icon.
